The Community at Mount St Joseph Abbey and Cistercian College were delighted to be able to once again assist the local branch of St Vincent de Paul by donating the proceeds from the retiring collection of this year’s Carol Service. The collection on the day amounted to just under €1800 and a donation from the monastery and college brought this up to €3000. Mr Conty Cunningham, President and Mr Tony Brennan Treasurer of the Roscrea branch of the St Vincent de Paul visited the College and were presented with a cheque of €3000 by the House Captain Bill Burns. Conty said that the very generous donation would greatly assist the Roscrea branch of SVP to carry out a range of services for vulnerable people and those most in need at this time of year. Also included in the photo are Fr. Aodhán, Cian Quinn, House Captain and Gerard Grealish, College Principal.
